Meros World Foundation - Dedicated To The Memory Of Rhamero West 2004-2021

Welcome to Merosworld Foundation

Merosworld Foundation was established by Kelly Brown, the mother of Rhamero West, who was tragically stabbed to death in Manchester in September 2021 at the age of 16. The foundation aims to combat knife crime and support youth in the community through various initiatives.

We focus on raising awareness about the dangers of knife crime, providing education, and offering youth activities. One of our notable projects includes installing emergency bleed safety cabinets throughout Greater Manchester. These cabinets contain essential equipment to manage severe bleeding in emergency situations, potentially saving lives before emergency services arrive

In addition to the bleed cabinets, the foundation has also secured funding to establish a youth hub. Our hub provides a safe space for young people to relax, play, and socialize, which helps to keep them off the streets and away from potentially dangerous situations.

Support Our Work

Weʼre raising £2,000 to Merosworld, established in 2022 raises awareness around knife crime and its rippling effects throughout communities.

Our Bleed Control Cabinets

We install bleed control cabinets across Greater Manchester.

These cabinets, a vital lifeline in critical moments, have been strategically placed to curb the impact of knife-related injuries until emergency services arrive. The first bleed cabinet was unveiled on February 12th 2022, garnering national attention on the BBC and ITV. Since then, an additional forty-five cabinets have been installed, each a beacon of hope in preventing other families from enduring the same anguish that has marked my own life.

If you run a business, organisation, charity or are part of a community and wish to install a cabinet in your area, we can help!

Flashing Lights, by Kelly Brown

In the depts of unimaginable grief, Kelly Brown found strength to transform tragedy into a powerful force for change. After losing her son, Rhamero, to knife crime, Kelly embarked on a journey to raise awareness and combat the devastating impact of this irrational violence. From marching through the streets of Greater Manchester to founding Mero’s World Foundation, Kelly’s story is one of resilience and determination.

The installation of bleed cabinets, educational initiatives and the creation of a youth hub in Fallowfield are just a few of her impactful endeavours, where loss becomes a catalyst for creating a safer world and bringing hope to those affected by knife crime.
